Easter initiative 2020 - Surprise for 200 children

For many people all over Germany, Easter visits to friends and family will be cancelled this year due to the contact bans imposed in the wake of the corona epidemic. Especially children who are currently in hospitals or social institutions and are not allowed to go home over Easter suffer from these restrictions.

The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation "Drying Little Tears” has therefore given around 200 of these children at least a little Easter joyful surprise in this currently challenging situation. On Thursday, April 9, 2020, Easter presents were distributed to the little patients in seven institutions in Munich, including the Children's Hospital Munich Schwabing, the Children's Cardiology Department of the Munich Hospital, the Dr. von Haunersche Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. The gift bags, which make children's eyes light up, contained colouring books and age-appropriate toys.

Regine Sixt, chairwoman of the board of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation "Drying Little Tears": "Every child has the right to a carefree life. Due to the current restrictions imposed by Corona, young patients in hospitals and social institutions suffer particularly. Therefore, we wanted to provide at least a little distraction for Easter and put a smile on the faces of the children with our small gifts".
